The World Health Organization Regional Office for the Western Pacific (WPRO) is inviting young Korean health professional to the Go WHO Korea Fellowship programme. This is a two-year on-the-job training programme for promising young Korean health professionals with technical capacity to provide practical work experience so that they may contribute to global health. The programme will be composed of the following components: (1) pre-deployment induction and orientation at the Regional Office in Manila, Philippines; (2) deployment and practical work experience at a WHO country office in the Region; and (3) debriefing at the Regional Office. The Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea fully sponsors this programme.
The following posts are open for applications, however only one fellow will be recruited. Candidates may apply to any or all of the following posts:
- Universal Health Coverage in Manila and Federated States of Micronesia (FSM)
- Healthy Ageing and NCDs in Manila and Vanuatu
Eligibility criteria common to all two posts:
- National of the Republic of Korea
- Under 35 years of age at the time of recruitment (desirable)
- Education: Master's degree in public health, social sciences, international relations or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

The fellow will be recruited through document screening and interview. His/her responsibilities will commence from May 2024 in Manila, the Philippines.

- Monthly stipend of US$7000 for 24 months

- Manila to Country Office duty station
- Country Office duty station to Manila
- Manila to home town in the Republic of Korea
- Reimbursement of health insurance throughout the assignment
