The World Health Organization (WHO) multi-country office in Samoa is seeking a locally recruited candidate based in Samoa for the position of One Health Coordinator to be based in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, under the Pandemic Fund Project.
Background
This position is funded under the Pandemic Fund Project, with WHO serving as an Implementing Entity, and is a WHO Affiliate (Special Services Agreement) role embedded within the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to support the Government of Samoa in strengthening One Health coordination, preparedness, and response at the human, animal and environment interface. This position is for local recruitment only.
Role summary
The successful candidate will:
- Support national One Health coordination mechanisms
- Strengthen multisectoral collaboration across human, animal, and environmental health sectors
- Support planning, implementation, and monitoring of One Health and Pandemic Fund-supported activities
- Provide technical and coordination support to the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and relevant stakeholders
