Country cooperation strategy for WHO and Lebanon, 2026-2029
Overview
The Country Cooperation Strategy for WHO and Lebanon, 2026–2029, outlines the World Health Organization’s (WHO) medium-term strategic framework for collaboration with the Government of Lebanon. It aligns with WHO’s Fourteenth General Programme of Work (GPW14), the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean’s flagship initiatives and Lebanon’s National Health Sector Strategy – Vision 2030. Guided by the humanitarian development-peace nexus approach, the Country Cooperation Strategy (CCS) bridges emergency humanitarian interventions with long-term health sector reforms and recovery efforts. This strategic framework aims to maximize WHO’s contribution to Lebanon’s health goals and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
