Overview
The WHO Country Cooperation Strategy (CCS) for WHO and Egypt, 2024–2028, presents the foundation for the next stage of cooperation between Egypt and the World Health Organization (WHO). The CCS process has the objective of identifying key priorities for technical cooperation between Egypt and WHO in consideration of the national context and to facilitate coordination with the United Nations Country Team and other partners.
This CCS identified the following five priorities for the next five years:
- Priority 1: Enhance health and well-being throughout the life-course
- Priority 2: Strengthen the health system towards universal health coverage and strengthen access and expand coverage to quality essential health services
- Priority 3: Enhance prevention, preparedness and response for health security
- Priority 4: Strengthen health equity, governance and leadership
- Priority 5: Support digital health innovation for better health outcomes.
These five priorities are well aligned with GPW14 strategic priorities and the endorsed prioritized health outcomes.
