Prevention and response to sexual misconduct: WHO second Stakeholder Review Conference 2024

Overview

WHO convened the second Stakeholders Review Conference on the Prevention and Response to Sexual Misconduct on 3–4 December 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland. The Conference was themed #ThoughtPartnership and built on the foundations of the inaugural Stakeholder Review Conference in 2023.

The event underscored the reality that achieving zero tolerance for sexual misconduct is a collaborative journey requiring honest reflection, joint learning, and co-creation of solutions across sectors. The findings and discussions of the Conference contribute directly to internal learning for WHO to further calibrate its policies, procedures and practices to address sexual misconduct and to facilitate lasting organizational change. They also contribute to broader system-wide change.

Leveraging the Organization’s convening power, this Conference is a unique forum for all stakeholders, including UN leadership, to meet and take stock of progress so far and address persisting and emerging challenges.
