The Pandemic Fund
The Pandemic Fund is a multilateral financing mechanism dedicated to providing multiyear grants for enhancing pandemic preparedness in low- and middle-income countries. The Fund assists countries and regions in strengthening their health systems and increasing their investments, enabling them to prevent, prepare, and respond effectively to health threats.
The Pandemic Fund is a collaborative partnership hosted by the World Bank with WHO as technical lead. The Fund is steered by a consortium of donor countries, potential implementing country governments, foundations, and civil society organizations. This diverse coalition is united in its commitment to preventing future pandemics.
Guiding the Fund’s strategic direction is a distinguished Governing Board. This Board benefits from the invaluable expertise of the Technical Advisory Panel, chaired by the WHO Executive Director for Health Emergencies.
