Collaboratory is made up of individuals, groups, and communities of practice. Within its digital environment, public health professionals, academics, epidemiologists, data scientists, developers, modelers, and public health  decision makers will find a fertile ground to brainstorm, cultivate ideas and co-develop  innovative solutions to complex public health problems.

Collaboratory aims to be more than just a platform—it will be an interactive knowledge-sharing space where members can jointly analyze, learn from peers, tap into expert opinions, and amalgamate resources to produce timely, effective, and actionable insights.

Collab-community
A community of practice is a group of people who "share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly" (Jean Lave, Etienne Wenger, 1991).  Collaboratory respects desired ways-of-working of existing communities of practice and is building on those foundations, empowering communities to grow and strengthen connections, collaborate, and cooperate with other individuals, groups, and communities of practice on Collaboratory.
