27 February - 4 March | Nagarkot, Bagmati Province – 52 immunization managers from all seven provinces were trained in efficient implementation of immunization programmes in the 6-day residential program - National level Mid-Level Managers (MLM) Training of Trainers Course on Immunization. The training, organized by Family Welfare Division, Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), with support from WHO, Country Office for Nepal, saw participation from senior MoHP officials, epidemiological managers/pediatricians from all provinces, senior staff from B.P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, United Nations Children's Fund, and PATH. The sessions referred to the WHO MLM modules which enhances skills in planning, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of immunization-related resources and services, with related systematic and logical approaches to problem solving. The master trainers will now conduct similar trainings in all 77 districts, and enhance national COVID-19 vaccination coverage and support immunization campaigns, notably the upcoming Typhoid Conjugate Vaccines Campaign (April 2022) which is planned for the first time in Nepal.
