Kathmandu, Bagmati Province – WHO, Country Office for Nepal, today handed over 8 million 0.5 ml AD (Auto Disable) syringes, to the Ministry of Health and Population as part of support to the national COVID-19 vaccination campaign. The supplies will now be distributed to health centers across Nepal and aid in the faster deployment of COVID-19 vaccines. Expanding vaccination coverage is key to minimizing deaths and severe diseases due to COVID-19 infection and will help curtail the impact of COVID-19 on the health system. The initiative will also progress Nepal’s milestone of administrating more than 50 million COVID-19 vaccine doses as of August 13.
