Kathmandu, Bagmati province - The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division under the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in collaboration with WHO Nepal and Nymat Nepal today launched a youth-led dengue awareness campaign to strengthen community efforts in prevention and control. Over 100 young volunteers participated in a hybrid orientation as part of the “Search and Destroy” campaign, where they learned to identify mosquito breeding sites, share preventive information, and support actions at the local level. These trained youth advocates will now mobilize their networks to promote practical steps for reducing the risk of dengue. WHO remains a committed partner to the MoHP, continuing its support for the prevention and control of dengue across Nepal.
