A comprehensive mapping of the operational status of health facilities

Overview

The Health Resources and Services Availability Monitoring System (HeRAMS) aims to provide decision-makers and health stakeholders with vital, up-to-date information. It focuses on the availability of essential health resources and services, helping to identify gaps and determine priorities for intervention. 

HeRAMS has been deployed in Ukraine since November 2022. This report provides an updated status of health facilities in Ukraine, detailing the availability and barriers to essential services.

Results in this report are based on data collected from May to October 2023. The data encompasses 11,523 records, including information from over 2,300 public health facilities and more than 9,000 health service delivery units in Kyivska, Chernihivska, Sumska, Kharkivska, Donetska, Dnipropetrovska, Zaporizka, Mykolaivska, Odeska, Khersonska, Zhytomyrska, Vinnytska, Cherkaska, Poltavska, Khmelnytska, Rivnenska, Kirovohradska, Volynska, Lvivska, Ternopilska, Chernivetska, Ivano-Frankivska, Zakarpatska oblasts, and Kyiv City.

This system not only enhances the response to immediate needs but also contributes to long-term planning and recovery efforts in Ukraine.
