Overview
Antigua and Barbuda, Belgium, Brazil, Ghana, Georgia, Japan, and Thailand, as co-chairs of the Group of Friends of UHC, together with the WHO and UN Foundation, co-hosted an interactive dialogue focused on prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of NCDs and mental health promotion across the life course. This discussion, conducted under Chatham House rules of non-attribution, was part of preparations for the Fourth High-Level UN General Assembly Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health scheduled for September 2025. The dialogue provided Member States and global health partners a platform to assess health system readiness for NCD and mental health services, exploring opportunities for primary health care-oriented systems to deliver continuous interventions, with particular focus on health products and technologies, health and care workers, and data utilization.
