
Options to maintain essential health services during COVID-19

Background
While the COVID-19 pandemic will increase mortality directly due to the virus, the resilience of the health system to timely adapt and strike a balance between maintaining routine services and coping with the pandemic is crucial to mitigate the damage. The pandemic is likely to have serious adverse health effects and will also have an impact on sexual and reproductive health services in low-income countries.
The eleventh webinar in this series “Options to maintain essential health services during the COVID-19 pandemic” was scheduled at 13:00 hrs (IST) on Wednesday, 28 October 2020. The self-care interventions to support maintaining essential health services for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR); midwives’ contribution to maintaining coverage of SRH services; demand for SRH services in the community, and community practice on self-care interventions for SRHR were presented.
Objectives
