We provide Member States with strategic guidance, technical support and coordination of activities essential to make their health systems better prepared against seasonal, zoonotic and pandemic influenza threats to populations and individuals.

RSV data reporting and outputs

Participating countries collect case-based clinical, epidemiological and laboratory data and upload the anonymized data onto the WHO FluMart platform on a weekly basis. Data is monitored for adequacy of sampling, timeliness of reporting, data quality, completeness and accuracy.

Data is aggregated to assess seasonality as well as age-specific trends in RSV infection disaggregated by country and region. The case-based data collection will be used to assess the performance of the case definition for RSV infection. The data will be analysed to estimate the age-specific annual RSV disease burden.
