“I started using the #labanglenda the night that I made my first announcement on Facebook. It was my encouragement to myself, at the same time, it’s also my declaration of faith to the world that I am going to fight this.
When I was diagnosed with cancer that was really a big shock because we didn’t have that in the family. But in 2017, I noticed a lesion on my right breast and I didn’t think of it as anything serious. I thought it was just an allergy.
When I had the chance to meet with a surgeon, and she was just explaining to me a lot of things. So I had to ask, I said “What is it, Doc? Is it cancer?” and she said, “yes.”
I felt that my hope to have a husband, and to get married and have a family are now, you know impossible to still be realized.”
