Hetauda, Bagmati Province - WHO Country Office for Nepal has provided the Vector Borne Disease Research and Training Center (VBDRTC) under the Ministry of Health and Population with advanced laboratory equipment to enhance the VBDRTC's entomological and malaria microscopy laboratory capabilities. The newly provided equipment will also be instrumental in various training programs and events, including WHO-supported research and activities, ensuring its effective operation and optimal utilization. The handover ceremony also facilitated discussions on future collaborative efforts between VBDRTC and WHO. WHO remains committed to supporting VBDRTC in its mission to reduce the burden of vector-borne diseases in Nepal through continued partnership and resource provision.
