5-6 August | Kathmandu, Bagmati province - The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), with support from WHO Country Office for Nepal, held a two-day workshop to advance the National Health Financing Strategy (NHFS) at the provincial level. The event, attended by the Honorable Minister of Health and Population; senior officials from all seven provinces; and over 50 stakeholders from the MoHP, National Planning Commission, and key health development partners, including World Bank, GIZ, UNICEF and USAID, focused on implementing the NHFS to ensure equitable health financing and reduce financial risks for citizens. The workshop implemented the Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) approach - a structured process designed to mobilize teams to achieve significant outcomes within 100 days or less. It enhanced participants' understanding of key subjects, fostered collaboration among diverse stakeholders, and built the skills and confidence necessary to ensure effective implementation of NHFS across Nepal's provinces by identifying areas for improvement and necessary interventions as per the NHFS implementation plan.
