Communication for Laboratory Leaders

30 March 2022 11:00 – 12:30 CET
Following the successful delivery of a three-webinar series on Laboratory General Management skills in 2021, we presented our 4th webinar session based on the Global Laboratory Leadership Programme covering the fundamentals of communication.

In this session we covered how to communicate as a leader, the types and channels of communication available in the laboratory and how to plan and deliver a presentation. We also heard experiences shared from Pakistan and Serbia on how laboratory managers and mentors used different communication styles to facilitate their work.

We welcomed:

Dr Rita Drago (WHO HQ)
Ms Rebecca Kaiser (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, US-CDC)
Dr Maja Stanojevic (WHO, Copenhagen)
Dr Massab Umair (Senior Scientific Officer/In charge, Department of Virology, National Institute of Health, Islamabad, Pakistan)

An optional activity booklet was also provided for participants to engage in some practical activities to complement the concepts presented during the webinar.

Webinar series held in English, with interpretation in French, Russian, Spanish, Arabic and Portuguese.
