The Universal Health Coverage (UHC) unit supports the Member States in advancing UHC ​and sustainable development goals through coordinated cross-cutting policy and strategic advice ​that underpin collaboration, systems approach, and innovation.  

This is accomplished by:  

1. developing pragmatic tools, technical guidance, and strategic approaches that facilitate transformative health systems actions and reforms for UHC;   
2. strengthening knowledge, evidence, and communication to inform actions and investments towards UHC; and​  
3. providing robust platforms and mechanisms for advocacy and joint works to expand collaboration with Member States, partners and experts.
