Kathmandu, Bagmati Province – WHO, Country Office for Nepal, handed over 20,000 vaccine carriers to the Ministry of Health and Population to strengthen routine immunization programs and administration of COVID-19 vaccine. With the carriers, supported by WHO, vaccinators can now reach hard-to-reach places in Nepal and provide life-saving vaccines under proper storage conditions. The carriers will also strengthen and expand Nepal’s cold chain capacities in all districts, which will help to expand vaccination sessions with delivery of quality vaccines and contribute to higher coverages of the vaccines, bringing Nepal closer to global and regional vaccination targets.
