Databases on cross-cutting information include more than one element of health R&D activities or data relevant to R&D tracking. Examples include country R&D platforms or the burden of disease.

Country research information platforms

HRWeb is a growing, web-based, source of information on the structure, organization, financing and prioritization of research for health. It enables cross-country comparisons and analyses, including topics researched, funds given, priorities addressed and so on. Types of information covered include: governance and policies; national research priorities; key institutions and networks; medicines regulations; funding for research; research project registry and publications; and civil society organizations.

The Lao Health Research Portal is an integrated online health research management system via which research proposals can be submitted to Lao PDR's Research Ethics Review Committees. The portal also serves as a publicly accessible research registry with access to details of ongoing and completed health research from December 2012 onwards. It also provides access to information on all the applicable guidelines, rules and regulations and access to an “researchers” and “investigators” directory.

The Cambodia Health Research Portal is a publicly accessible, integrated online health research management system that serves as a searchable repository for past or ongoing health research from January 2013 onwards. It can also be used to submit research proposals by [Cambodia’s] National Ethics Committee for Health Research.

This is the e-Portal of the [Nigerian] National Health Research Ethics Committee and enables researchers to submit their research application(s) for ethics review by the committee.
