PubMed search engine allows users to search citations within the MEDLINE database of biomedical literature, including life science journals and online books.
The GIM provides searchable, worldwide access to biomedical and public health literature produced by and within low- and middle- income countries. The main objective of the GIM is to increase the visibility and usability of this important set of resources. It is promoted and led by WHO and was formerly called the Global Health Library.
The HINARI Programme for Access to Research for Health was developed by WHO and its partners to improve access to scientific information for health sector institutions in low- and middle-income countries. It provides access to high quality, timely, relevant biomedical and social science journals and articles for free or nominal prices. There are eligibility criteria for access based on factors including gross national income (GNI), the human development Index (HDI) and healthy life expectancy (HALE). Searches can be conducted using Summon.
